Straight from my press conference:
Reporter: "Mr. Johnson, what is your comment on the numerous complaints that your car commercial has generated?"Me: "I would like to sincerely tell them to put down the tofu, STFU and get a life. It's my commercial and they can stop crying about it. The car has 400 HP, I'm obviously not marketing it to these limp wristed pansies anyway." Seriously, I don't think you'd lose any sales whatsoever by ignoring these whiners. The kind of people who would like such a commercial are the kind of people who would be considering buying that car. The kind of people who are offended by that commercial are definitely NOT the people who would consider buying such a car. Those consumer advocates are the kind of people who eat tofu, drive Volvos, and go home and get smacked around by their wife and 10 year old daughter (who was probably fathered by another man anyway) How many of us Z owners were offended by that "Dream" commercial? Probably none. How many of the people who campaigned to get it taken off the air bought a Turbo Z? Probably none.
